Connect your calendar
Block busy time from Google Calendar, push trips to it, or subscribe to your CloudCape calendar from another app.
Steps
- Open Settings > Channels and choose "Connect Google Calendar" in the Calendar card. Sign in to Google and allow access.
- Under "Calendars that block time", tick the calendars to check and choose "Save calendars".
- Set "Buffer before" and "Buffer after" (0, 15, 30 or 60 minutes) if you want space around consultations.
- To add trips to Google Calendar, open Settings > Calendar and choose "Push trips to Google Calendar". Allow the extra permission when asked.
- To read your CloudCape calendar elsewhere, in Settings > Calendar choose "Create calendar link" and paste it into Apple Calendar, Outlook or Google Calendar as a subscription.
- Use Calendar in the left menu to see your own: Day, Week, Month and List views of trips, payments due, tasks, consultations, birthdays and anniversaries.
What you will see
- Busy time on the checked calendars is removed from your bookable consultation slots.
- Pushing creates one all-day event per trip, titled with the trip name only, and keeps it updated. "Turn off and remove events" deletes what it created.
- The calendar link carries names and dates only, never emails, phone numbers or amounts. It covers 60 days back to 400 days ahead.
Common problems
"Google Calendar is not set up on this server."
Ask your administrator. Connecting depends on the server's Google settings.
If Google fails, are slots still offered?
Yes. When Google cannot be checked, no busy time is removed and the card shows the error, so double bookings are possible. Choose Reconnect if it says the check failed.
Anyone with the link can read my calendar.
Yes, so keep it private. Choose "Create a new link" to replace it or "Revoke" to switch it off.
"A link is active, but it cannot be shown again here."
Create a new one to see it. The old one stops working.
Outlook Calendar.
It is not available yet; the tile says "Coming soon".
