Help / Proposals and the client portal
Offer your client more than one itinerary
Create several itineraries, then either choose one for the proposal or publish them all as options for the client to pick.
Steps
- On the Options tab, build one itinerary, then choose "New itinerary" or "Duplicate" to make Option B, Option C and so on. Use "Rename" to give them real names.
- Link each item's price to a price line (see "Price a trip"). A price line linked only to another option is left out of this one; a line linked to nothing, such as a fee, appears in every option.
- To publish one plan, choose "Choose this option" on the itinerary you want. Choosing one un-chooses the other.
- To publish several, open the Proposal tab. With two or more itineraries that each have at least one item, tick "Show my itineraries to the client as options" in the Publish panel.
- Open "Preview the page your client will see" to check it, then publish.
What you will see
- With options published, the client sees "Your options" cards, each with its name, number of days, total and a "View" button.
- Each option is priced on its own. The client picks one and approves it.
- If no itinerary is chosen and options are off, the proposal has pricing only and no itinerary section.
Common problems
The options checkbox is not there.
It only appears when at least two itineraries have items.
The client approved an option but the trip did not change.
Approval never chooses an itinerary or moves the trip. You choose the option and mark the trip Closed Won yourself.
"Another option was chosen at the same moment. Try again."
Two people chose at once. Choose again.
