Help / Proposals and the client portal
See what your client decided
What a client can do on the proposal link, and where you see their approval, revision request or selections.
Steps
- Send your client the link from the Publish panel. They need no account or password.
- The client can print or save the page as a PDF, choose preferences (if the itinerary has choice groups or optional add-ons), approve, or request revisions.
- Watch for the banner at the top of the trip, the bell, and the trip's client thread.
- Open the Proposal tab and read "What the client has answered": Decision and Selections.
- If they approved, choose "Mark Closed Won" on the banner when you are ready. If they asked for revisions, read their note, change the trip and publish a new version.
What you will see
- Approval banner: "Client approved on", then the date and the option, then "mark Closed Won?", with a "View version N" link.
- Revisions banner: "Client asked for revisions on" and the date, with their text. A task "Client asked for revisions" is created for you.
- A client decision belongs to one version. After you publish a new version the question opens again.
- Choosing preferences does not need approval. Each submission is saved, and the latest one counts.
- If the client is not available, choose "Approve for the client" on the Proposal tab to record the approval yourself.
Common problems
The client cannot message me from the link.
The only free text on the link is the revision note (up to 4,000 characters). It is also posted to the trip's client thread. There is no document list and no payment button on the link.
The client sees "Too many requests".
The link allows 30 actions per network address per 10 minutes. Ask them to wait a few minutes.
"Open the itinerary you want to approve first."
With options, the client must open one option before approving.
The trip did not move to Closed Won.
Approval never moves a trip. Choose "Mark Closed Won" yourself.
