Track money owed and commission
Use the Finance page for what is due and received, and the Booking tab for commission on each trip.
Who can do this: Owner, staff, admin and agent roles. Others see a permission message on Finance.
Steps
- Open Finance in the left menu. Tabs: Overview, Payments due, Received, Commissions and Supplier payments.
- On Overview, pick Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 or Year to date. Read Received, Due next 30 days (with any overdue amount), Commissions and Supplier payments for each currency.
- Open Payments due to see every open request with a balance, soonest first. Click a row to jump to the trip's Payments tab.
- Open Commissions to see expected and received commission by trip line for the period.
- On a trip, enter commission on the Proposal tab's price lines, then read the Booking tab's "Commission" panel: Expected, Expected after split, Received, Overdue and Upcoming.
What you will see
- "Expected after split" uses "Your take-home %" in Settings > Business profile.
- Overdue means the expected date has passed and some commission is still outstanding.
- Amounts in different currencies are shown separately, never added up.
- Home and Agenda show Payments due with an "Open Finance" link.
Common problems
Finance and the trip's Commission panel disagree.
The trip panel leaves out lines that are not marked Booked. Finance > Commissions counts every line that is not cancelled and has an amount. Tick Booked on the price line to bring them in line.
Received shows ACH payments as "Card (Stripe)".
That is how the Received tab labels Stripe payments. The Payments tab shows "(ACH)" on the specific request.
There is no commission import from suppliers.
Commission is typed in by you as expected and received amounts.
"You do not have permission to view the agency's payments."
Finance is for roles that manage money. Ask your agency owner.
